Love the photos. Just smile every time I look at them . Best day ever. TR April 2018
Thank you so much for Saturday. A very relaxed and informal celebration was entirely complimented by your unobtrusive, calm, friendly and professional approach and it was a pleasure to have you as part of our day. We felt like we had known you some time as you really understood and captured the essence of us as a group, and as individuals. BJ August 2018
Friendly and discrete wedding photo-journalism.
I’ve been photographing weddings as a full-time professional for over 12 years so you can relax knowing that you’re in safe, experienced hands.
I love photographing weddings and I will do everything I can to make your wedding day run smoothly and to ensure you have the best photographs to treasure forever.
I hope my photographs speak for themselves – you’ll find some examples of my wedding photographs here.
Thank you for the photos, there are some really great shots, some giving a smile and others made me fall about laughing. Think you have really managed to capture the personalities of the family really well!! N&S June 2018
I really enjoying photographing families and my sessions are playful and fun whether they are in my Embleton studio or out and about.
Studio sessions are perfect for one or two little kids or families. On-location sessions can be at your home, on your favourite beach, or anywhere else you suggest (within reason!).
I have prices that range from quick studio sessions to Family Celebration packages.
Prices for prints/frames/canvas prints etc are available on request or you can have your photo collection on a disc or memory stick fully edited and ready to print yourself or to view on screen on digital frames etc.
Please contact me for more information.

MUSIC & COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Firstly we have to say thank you. We thought our current photos were nice but these show the difference between someone who can use a camera and a professional photographer. They are beautiful. And being able to see what is possible to be taken is the skill we are always amazed at. We wish we had done this in the first place years ago. Market Cross Guest House 2018
Thanks for your work on this project – as always, stunning, but also great to have your company on the sessions. Brooks Williams 2018
It was lovely to see the coast through your eyes. We both loved the view you take of ‘observer’ of the world around you. The whole evening was a treat for the senses: meditation, music and a visual feast. A & S May 2018
Photography is my hobby as well as my job. When I’m not working on a commission, you will still find me with a camera in my hand.
I photograph the Northumberland coast when I am out walking with my dog every day and I’ve shared my photography via my blog since 2008. Have a look!
Every week I present my photography in slideshows set to my own live musical compositions. These evenings are for guests of HPB at Lucker Hall only. I am available to perform this show to a wider audience as well. Please contact me to find out more or to book me for your event.
I’ve brought some of my other photographs together into these galleries
A memorable evening. Superb photography on a variety of themes. Thought provoking and uplifting. This evening was time well spent! AN July 2018
Most dog owners regards their faithful friends as part of their family and I won’t argue with that.
My prices and options are the same for dog portraits as they are for kids. Studio sessions can be striking and make the most of your pampered pooch. Out and about sessions are great fun as I try to capture your dog in full flight through the waves or posing majestically on the beach.
I photograph my own lurcher Daisy every day – you can find her on Instagram here as @Daisy of Northumberland
Here is a selection of dog portraits from some of my favourite sessions
Please contact me to book your dog’s photo session
VIDEO & FILM-MAKING
Video is on the up. Streaming video is now so accessible on Facebook and YouTube that we are moving into the Harry Potter world of moving pictures hanging on the walls.
There is a world of difference between a shaky phone video that you can make yourself and a professionally produced video. It makes a huge difference to the first impression people have of how professional you are and how your music comes across.
I specialise in affordable video production for musicians and artists but the link below will show you some of my commercial documentary work.
I’ve been shooting video for 10 years (one of my oldest music videos has now had half a million views) and it’s an area I can see myself working in more and more.
Have a look at my video collection on Vimeo and if you want to know more then get in touch!
I have had a camera in my hands since I was 5 years old and it’s been a hobby all of my life.
In 2005 I turned professional and ran my business full-time in Edinburgh and Midlothian.
In 2008 we moved to the Northumberland Coast and my business has broadened to include video work and photography training.
